Adam Vorhis

Adam Vorhis is a family law attorney located primarily in Asheville North Carolina, and serving clients in Buncombe and Henderson Counties.  Adam is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, a designation awarded by the North Carolina State Bar.  As of 2025, there are only 1,161 Board Certified Specialist in a community of over 33,000 attorneys.

Adam has over 20 years of family law and litigation experience.  As a former prosecutor, Adam has significant courtroom experience which he utilizes to work to get the best results for his clients.

Adam attended the University of Florida College of Law and is licensed to practice in North Carolina, Florida and Colorado.  Adam has served both his local and statewide bars on various committees and leadership positions.  He enjoys being outdoors in the mountains of North Carolina, including hiking, biking and kayaking.

Krista Peace

Krista Peace is a family law attorney based primarily in Asheville, North Carolina. Krista focuses her practice on Family Law in Western North Carolina and Family Law Appeals throughout the State of North Carolina.

Krista earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Studies at Colby-Sawyer College and her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law. After graduating from law school, Krista immersed herself in the field of family law where she discovered a passion for helping clients navigate the unique legal and emotional challenges that family law disputes present both at the trial court level and at the appellate level.

Krista has achieved multiple victories at the North Carolina Court of Appeals both defending and pursuing appeals of family law orders from the trial court. Because of the nature of appellate work, Krista is able to represent appellate clients from all 100 counties in North Carolina. Recently, Krista successfully vacated a permanent child custody order out of Mecklenburg County and an attorneys fees judgment from a DVPO case in Watauga County.

While in law school, Krista participated in several pro bono projects and served as a Certified Student Attorney for the Consumer Financial Transactions Law Clinic as well as the Community Development Law Clinic. She was also a Competing Member on the International Law Moot Court Team, served as the Online Editor of the UNC Journal of International Law, and was awarded the Eugene Gressman & Daniel H. Pollitt Oral Advocacy Award in recognition of outstanding research, writing, and oral advocacy.

In her free time, Krista enjoys gardening, traveling, and exploring the outdoors with her dogs.

Jacob Martin

Jacob Martin is a family law attorney based primarily in Asheville, North Carolina.

Jacob attended the University of South Carolina as an undergraduate student. He was selected to the Capstone Scholars program and was elected President of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Fraternity. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in Social Work.

Jacob attended the Drexel University School of Law as a law student. While in law school, he was the Founder and President of the Mental Health Law Society, a Representative for the Student Bar Association and a Member of the American Association for Justice. He graduated with a Juris Doctor with a Concentration in Health Law.

Jacob has practiced as a family law attorney in counties throughout Western North Carolina for the last several years. His prior professional experience also includes experience in health insurance, civil litigation, and working for Drexel University’s Office of General Counsel.

Originally from Flowery Branch, Georgia, Jacob, his wife and his two dogs, and now call Asheville home.

Morgan Schriner

Morgan Schriner is a family law attorney based in Asheville, North Carolina, and severing nearly all of Western North Carolina.

Morgan was born and raised in a small town in Central Ohio. She found her way to Asheville, North Carolina when she attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville. There, she created her own major; the sociological, psychological, and political look into criminality. She then found herself in Chapel Hill, where she attended the University of North Carolina School of Law. At Carolina Law she was awarded the 3L Pro Bono Publico Award for completing over 200 hours of pro bono service, held prestigious internships at the ACLU and NC Department of Justice, and made nationwide news with her first day in court.

Morgan has a wide variety of hobbies outside of work. You can find her on one of the many trails in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her dog, or she will be at home cooking, painting, or reading. She never lets a day go to waste without some fun. She loves to travel, once wrote a cookbook for her friends and family, and greatly enjoys trying new foods from around the world.

Sarah Grizzle

Sarah Grizzle is a paralegal at Blue Ridge Family Law Group. Sarah is the first point of contact for clients, works closely with attorneys, and provides assistance to clients dealing with their cases.

Sarah worked in the service industry for over 15 years and has shifted to working in the legal field, starting as a paralegal at a real estate firm. She went to school for digital media and enjoys applying those skills in her new found career path.

Sarah lives in Asheville, North Carolina with her fiancé and child. She enjoys her time off by spending it with friends and family, cooking, being outside, and seeing live music. She also enjoys crafting such as painting and embroidery.
