Krista Peace
Krista Peace is a family law attorney based primarily in Asheville, North Carolina. Krista focuses her practice on Family Law in Western North Carolina and Family Law Appeals throughout the State of North Carolina.
Krista earned her Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Studies at Colby-Sawyer College and her Juris Doctor from the University of North Carolina School of Law. After graduating from law school, Krista immersed herself in the field of family law where she discovered a passion for helping clients navigate the unique legal and emotional challenges that family law disputes present both at the trial court level and at the appellate level.
Krista has achieved multiple victories at the North Carolina Court of Appeals both defending and pursuing appeals of family law orders from the trial court. Because of the nature of appellate work, Krista is able to represent appellate clients from all 100 counties in North Carolina. Recently, Krista successfully vacated a permanent child custody order out of Mecklenburg County and an attorneys fees judgment from a DVPO case in Watauga County.
While in law school, Krista participated in several pro bono projects and served as a Certified Student Attorney for the Consumer Financial Transactions Law Clinic as well as the Community Development Law Clinic. She was also a Competing Member on the International Law Moot Court Team, served as the Online Editor of the UNC Journal of International Law, and was awarded the Eugene Gressman & Daniel H. Pollitt Oral Advocacy Award in recognition of outstanding research, writing, and oral advocacy.
In her free time, Krista enjoys gardening, traveling, and exploring the outdoors with her dogs.
